getting the old off is hard to do without a rod lathe as it's hard to sand off by hand but can be done. with the new 5 min. epoxy you can turn the rod by hand long enough to avoid the drips and bumbs. the trick of snelling the thread over guide feet is easy to learn. I use dental bridge floss loops to pull the tread, you can get them free at your dentist or buy cheap at a drug store. Get some color fast thread at Hunter Banks if you need it or order online when you order your guides and tips. I've never used them but this place has everything you might need.
