the island has changed so much,hope you have a good memory..
went down sunday on the 3 oclock ferry and went north to the point.
cold n-ne winds 20-25 mph and skattered showers..tried to put up a tent behind something that looked like a sand doon but couldnt succeed for colapsing..good try tho ..got tired of messing with the tent so went fishing....threw out 3 rods and set in the truck...at about 8pm had a hit..drug in a 27 lb drum 33. about an hour later mom and law caught a 31 lb - 44...10.30 another 35 lb 45..then no more
mon caught some black drum 4 - 5.5 ld...few reds 23-27...four blow todds...couple mullet...and skate
tues a lot of skate so we moved south..stopping several places to try.. but not much luck . we went on south past the cabins to about mm 31-32 and immediatley caught 4 drum 18 and one 17 drum... and a couple of mullet and skate...ate supper and caught skate till about 10 and had a hit.... a hit with so much force it liked to pulled the 2 pvc rod holders that were in the ground 2out...20-30 min later landed a 50 lb drum 49 long....man what a tremendous fish...caught on fresh sea mullet and drum rig...the other ones were caught on whole shrimp....weather was not that good till tues and wen but had the best time ever.
left on the 10 oclock wed.....hard to find bait down there on sundays so have what you need if you go (on sun)....going back down fri after turkey day...stop by to say hello...should be on blue 4x4 toyota ext cab with fire light on top and long antenia on back....
