I have read the article listed below about Fort Fisher and you might wonder why they might want to charge or even pose regulations.
Well lets look at it like this.If you have thousands of weekend drunks or partiers that just want to drive up and down the beach with 4x4s or atvs with mischeavious intentions or destroying whatever...throwing cans and bottles or whatever kinds of leftovers all along the beaches, WHAT ELSE COULD THEY EXPECT
WHEN YOU TALK ABOUT SPORTS PEOPLE.. lot of them mostly go to fish. When they get to an area they mostly stay there and seldom move.
I drive an rv on the beach and I LOVE to fish. I spend a considerable amount of time doing it. I also consider myself to be a sportsman as well as a family man. I try to be as responsible as possible and try to do my part to conserve mother nature. You dont see me sand sledding behind any vehicles (day or night).I drive resposibly on the beach and very rairly drive it at night, put my trash in a bag and carry it off the island with me..
The parks an recreational people are only doing their job. Protecting the environment so we and our grandchilren will be able enjoy the great outdoors the way GOD intended.
Everyone needs to think sometimes!
