If it was a black tip it will have black tipped fins especially visable when looking at the pectorals from underneath. 93 pounds is a nice one, they go to about 250# The biggest shark Ive landed from the beach was about 300 pounds (bull shark) and he was sick, but still 8 feet long. Mostly on Lookout you will catch sandbar, dusky and black tips; lemons tigers and hammer heads rarely and I even heard of one trasher and Ive seen a dead one on the beach once . A good tip for handling small toothy sharks is if you pick them up by the tail do it so his back is to you and his mouth is away from your leg, they can swing and dance in a split second this will help. I had to pry one off a friends leg a couple years ago, a little 25 pounder chomped down on his leg and wouldnt let go. We had a pry bar handy and stuck that in his mouth to get him to let go. Luckily the guy was wearing heavy canvas hip boots and it didnt get meat just canvas, we can laugh about it now but there were a couple minutes that no one was laughing. If its a big one and you are trying to put it back in the water (please do) the best thing Ive found is to take a long handled gaff and put it in the top of his mouth and then drag him back in.
Shark dance; I like it!
