CALO issues a News Release dated May 18,2004 announcing that there will be a temporary vehicle closure on South Core Banks between Ramp 39 and Ramp 40. The purpose of the closure is to protect a brood of oystercatcher chicks The closure will remain in effect until the chicks move to a safe area,are able to fly or are lost.
