I used a 4 man nylon tent for a couple of days last year. The rain was kept at bay by the fly cover but the problem was the wind during those driving thunderstorms would lay the tent sideways. When that happened the fly lifted up exposing the breathable fabric of the tent and instant wet inside.
Next time Im going to stake down a polypro tarp from ground to ground over the tent. That way when the rain lays it flat the tarp will keep the water out.
Explain again how to use the bungees. Do you connect the stake to the tent loop with them?
