I have to respectfully disagree with some of you about the value of the new salt water license. Prior to moving here 3 years ago I did most of my salt water fishing in south Texas. That state has done some pretty amazing things with the revenue from their license. They have stocked millions a millions of red and trout (specks) fingerlings. There has been a dramatic improvement in the quality and number of fish caught.
What they don't have is anything as wonderful as CALO, but they do have really improved fishing.
So, I at least, think that if administered properly, there could be some good come of the new salt water license.
Don't musunderstand me - I wouldn't ever want to trade the opportunity to fish and just be, on CALO. But, I do believe it can get better.
