We too had an encounter with (as we named him)'Pelican Pete'. While fishing on the south end, he just flew up to us, waddled over and waited for a snack! Gave him a small blue, he swallowed it down, tucked his head under his wing and went to sleep. This bird must have had other human contact in the past. Maybe he was rehabilitated from a previous injury? This just shows that blessings come in unexpected ways. Any info appreciated.
