I lost my first teacher of the art of surf fishing. My grandmother passed away on 11/17, she was 94 years old and She died in her own house and in her own bed. I had the great privledge of spending all my summers of my youth with her in her cabin on Cape Lookout NC. In an age where most fishermen were....men she was a true master of surf fishing.
She taught me
how to read the beach
how to tie a double surgeons loop
how to use my drag
how to rig a bottom rig
how to fillet a flounder
how to drive(2 wheel drive) on the beach
she taught me manners and to respect nature
She out lived and out fished 4 husbands
I love you granmother save me some fresh bait in heaven.
