Had the same bird hang out with us at the spit(southernmost point) Sat-Sun. At sunset we caught and released our limit of trout, he ate 2, 14" then would have no more. We offerd him blues, he preferred the trout... smart bird:)
Sunday we see this lone pelican flying straight for us, he flairs his wings right over our heads lands and followed us until we caught him a fish. Pretty wild. I have photos, anyone want em?
