Watch for DIFF license plates

The DIFF Club will be selling "I Brake for Turtle" license plates in the near future. They will cost $5 apiece. Watch for further information in the future newsletters.

Serve Your Club
The DIFF Board of Directors is looking for members who want to serve on the board next year. The job requires just a little bit of your time
¾ you have to attend four meetings a year. For that small investment of time, you get the opportunity to give a little back to the club, plus you can't beat the lunch Irene and Chester Hiatt provide when board meetings are held at their house.
If you're interested in joining the board, call Chester at 336-765-3406.

Still time to win
Still feeling lucky? You still have time to send in those raffle tickets for the Honda 1,000-watt generator. The winner will be drawn on Oct. 2, the last day of the club's fishing tournament. You don't have to be present to win. Each ticket cost $5.
Mail the ticket stubs and donations to DIFF, P.O. 531, Pineville, N.C. 28134.

Island board meeting
The DIFF Board of Directors will have its next meeting 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, in Cabin 10A or 10B on the island. If you're arriving early for the tournament, come join us.

Catch and Release
Fishermen can learn the proper ways to catch and release saltwater fish at the first National Symposium on Catch and Release in Marine Recreational Fisheries, which will be held Dec. 5-9 in Virginia Beach, Va.
For more information contact Jim Bahen at N.C. Sea Grant at 910-256-2083.
