Fishing tourney deadline is approaching

Time is running out to enter the DIFF Club's annual Surf-Fishing Tournament, Sept. 27-29.
The deadline for entry is July 31. The tournament is open to club members only.
A club application and tournament entry form is on Page 5.
Unlike recent tournaments, there will no limit in the number of entrants this year. The DIFF Board of Directors lifted the 135 cap last year. The tournament is open to all club members.

The entry fee increased to $60 to help pay for tournament hats, but the purse will remain at $6,100 assuming at least 135 members enter.
Those are the major changes. Rules remain the same, and entrants will compete in six prize categories: red drum, bluefish, flounder, whiting and two species that will be chosen at the time of the tournament. The five largest fish in each category will win prize money.
