Computers are becoming a

greater part of our lives. A majority of the Diff board members are now on line. This allows for easier communication. Contact the board at diff@diffclub.com.
Thanks to Tom Dunaway, Diff now has a web page at www.diffclub.com or link it from www.drumwagon.com/diff. Look it up. You'll see tournament results, pictures, current and past newsletters and a bulletin board with current Diff events.
Looking forward to another good season with time spent at the place and with the people that I care about. Hope to see you there.
Tight line!

Fellow Diff Members:
As the new club president, I wish to express the board's appreciation to Alvin Tans for the service he provided to the club as president. Alvin served our club well. His attention to the details required of a non-profit organization has put our club in good stead with the feds. His management insured that various committees adequately addressed issues that came before the board. Next time you see Alvin, thank him

Alger Willis improves cabins, expands parking lot

The smallest cabins now rent for $65 a night and the largest cabins rent for $150 nightly.
At the request of the National Park Service, AWFC has done away with the minimum rates, which had been $60 for the smallest cabins and $132 for the largest.
The rate increases are needed, said Erma Willis of AWFC, to meet the increased maintenance now required by the Park Service

Kyle, Glen move on
Two familiar faces  at Alger Willis, Kyle Brown and Glen Lewis, have quit.

Kyle is working on a tugboat in the Hudson River, pushing gasoline from New York City to Albany. He may work part-time during his two weeks off the tug each month.
Glen is the captain of a speedboat in Beaufort that takes tourists on offshore joy rides.
They've been replaced by Jackie Fulcher and Steven Cook, Johnny's son.

he folks at Alger Willis Fishing Camps have been busy this spring fixing cabins and parking lots.
Cabins 5, 18 and 26 have been completely remodeled with new floors, ceilings, doors and interior paneling.
The trailer near the parking lot on the mainland has been removed and the lot expanded and new gravel spread on it.

Cabin rates increase
Cabin rentals at the Great Island Camp have been increased across the board.
